2016 Mercedes C220 - previous poor workmanship
Yesterday we received a phone call off a customer who bought a car that had previously been worked on by two different tuners in the past…
As he described the car would go to 3000Rpm then bog down with no warning lights or fault codes.
For a car to not show any fault codes we knew there was something definitely not right.
Upon arrival at the customers property we opened the bonnet to see parts of the engine bay trim not put in properly, engine cover not on properly and lastly the ecu plug completely destroyed.
Whoever had touched this had not only made a mess of the ecu file, but also the customers car.
In a situation like this the best situation was to find a totally original ecu file and start from scratch.
After a bit of work we were able to take the car on a test drive to see if all was well.
The car performed faultlessly and not dropping into limp mode!
One happy customer later and another job well done!
Let this be a lesson for anybody out there, be careful on who you pick to work on your car as this could happen to you.
